Mom & Dad Arrive Safely at the Missionary Training Center!

Mom and Dad have officially started their mission! They start their service by staying at the  MTC (Missionary Training Center) for one week. They went in on Monday December 11th and will learn the fundamentals of missionary work. The will remain here for one week and will then depart for Indonesia next Monday!
And... they're off! My sister Rebecca was able to drop them off and capture a few fun photos!
Here they are in the lobby finding the Indonesian flag on the tree that has flags from all around the world where missionaries are sent.
Dad getting his missionary tag. When missionaries serve, they are referred to as "Elder" and "Sister"

Called to Serve!

"This is our District. One couple will serve in SLC East. One will serve in DC and one couple will serve in Tennessee. I am the District Leader. Just bought the District Oreos. Tried to get diet cokes but they were sold out!" - Dad

  1. Hi Millers! (Assuming you will be able to see this when your internet is up and running....) We are SOOOO excited for you! We got to Utah the day after you flew out, and we stayed a month and just got home and got your Christmas card! So I'm glad I got this address for your blog- we've been thinking about you! Thank you Monica for sharing it with us all! My cousin and her husband are serving in Swaziland, So. Africa, and she faithfully posts on her mission blog. I love to follow it, read about their experiences, and see all the wonderful pictures. What a blessing you are going to be for the people there, and it sounds like you love them already! I am so impressed that you could bear your testimony in Bahasa!
